Cement Coating DN80-DN 2600 K9, C40, C30, C25 Ductile Iron Pipe
Definition of Ductile Iron
Ductile iron, also known as nodular iron, is a type of cast iron. During its production, a small amount of magnesium or cerium is added to the molten iron. This addition causes the graphite in the iron to form spherical nodules rather than the flake - like structure found in gray cast iron. This unique microstructure gives ductile iron its excellent mechanical properties, including high strength, good toughness, and remarkable ductility.
Product Details
Mechanical Properties
High Tensile Strength: Ductile iron can withstand significant pulling forces. Tensile strength values can range from 400 MPa to over 1000 MPa, depending on the specific grade.
Good Ductility
It can be deformed to a certain extent without breaking. Elongation rates can reach up to 18% or more in some grades, which is far better than many other types of cast iron.
High Impact Resistance
Thanks to its toughness, ductile iron can resist sudden impacts and vibrations well, making it suitable for applications where dynamic loads are present.
Surface Finish
Products made of ductile iron can achieve a relatively smooth surface finish through proper casting and machining processes. This not only improves the aesthetic appearance but also reduces friction when used in fluid - carrying pipelines or mechanical parts.
SND products adhere meticulously to the following international standards:
ISO 2531: This standard pertains to ductile iron pipes, fittings, and accessories designed for pressure pipelines. SND ensures that all relevant products are in strict compliance, guaranteeing reliable performance under pressure.
BS EN 545: For water pipelines, SND's ductile iron pipes, fittings, accessories, and their joints meet the requirements and test methods set by BS EN 545. This ensures the safety and quality of water transportation.
BS EN 598: When it comes to sewage applications, SND's products, including pipes, fittings, accessories, and their joints, adhere to the requirements and test methods of BS EN 598. This safeguards proper functionality in sewage systems.
ISO 7186: SND complies with ISO 7186 for the construction of drains and sewers outside buildings. The company's ductile iron pipes, fittings, accessories, and their joints are up to the mark, ensuring efficient drainage.
ISO 4179: Regarding centrifugal cement mortar lining for pressure and non - pressure pipelines, SND's ductile iron pipes meet the general requirements of ISO 4179, enhancing durability and performance.
ISO 8179: SND's ductile iron pipes also meet the standard of ISO 8179 for external zinc coating, providing enhanced corrosion resistance.
ISO 4633: For rubber seals - joint rings in water supply, drainage, and sewerage pipelines, SND adheres to the material specifications of ISO 4633, ensuring tight and reliable connections.
ISO 8180: SND's ductile iron pipes with polyethylene sleeves strictly follow ISO 8180, further protecting the pipes and extending their service life.
